Hunting Guide – Unit 10 Elk (Fall 2026)

Five Bears Outfitters runs a horse-supported backcountry elk operation that packs out of Stevensville, Montana, over the state line into Idaho’s Unit 10 on the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forest. They need an elk guide for the fall 2026 season (September 5 to October 30), with six weeks of work guaranteed and possible summer and 2027 spring bear work to follow. Prior elk hunting experience is a must; horse skills help but are not required, although anyone without packing experience has to complete a three-week June training.
