Privacy Policy

What WildWork collects, why, who else handles it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. Last updated October 15, 2026.

The Short Version

• You can browse every job without an account and without giving us anything.
• We collect your email only when you sign up for an email, post something or pay for something.
• Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
• We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not show ads.
• Google Analytics only runs if you accept it in the cookie bar.
• You can get a copy of your data or have it deleted at any time from Your Privacy Choices.

What We Collect

• Email digest and Early Access: your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, the job types and states you chose, and, for Early Access, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
• Job Wanted posts: your first name, last initial, email (never displayed), what you write, and any photo you upload.
• Employer listings: the contact name, email and phone, business details, the listing itself, any logo or photos, and payment records from Stripe (amount, date, receipt link).
• Listing removal requests: your name, email, your role, the listing and any message. We keep your email with the listing record so we can confirm the removal and not list the same posting again.
• Privacy requests: your email and what you asked for, so we can confirm it is you and record that we completed it.
• Messages: when an employer writes to a Job Wanted poster through our relay form, we pass the message on and keep a record that it was sent.
• Listings we summarize: some listings are summaries of jobs employers published on their own websites or on government job sites. They can include the business contact details the employer chose to publish there. Anyone can ask for one to be taken down at Remove a Listing.
• Technical data: like any website, our server and our network provider process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse. Server logs are kept for 14 days.

Analytics

• Nothing optional runs until you switch it on. The cookie bar and Cookie Choices at the bottom of every page have a separate switch for each tool below. Both start off, and closing the bar without choosing leaves them off.
• Site analytics (optional). Our own visit counter, Independent Analytics, runs on our server, not a third party’s, and does not use cookies. If you switch it on, it records the page, the site that sent you, links you click, your device and browser type, and your approximate city and country. It stores a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and browser, never the IP address itself. The same switch lets us count how often each listing’s Apply button is clicked (we keep a scrambled code for up to one hour so one click is not counted twice) and note which of our links led to an Early Access sign-up. Employers see only totals.
• Google Analytics (optional). If you switch it on, it counts visits and shows which pages help people. Before Google sees a page address we remove search terms and private link details, Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and it never loads on private pages such as your edit or email-preference links. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics stays off unless you switch it on yourself; Accept All does not turn it on.
• Turning it off. If you switch an option off, it stops and we delete the analytics cookies and site data in your browser that we can reach. We cannot delete information that was already sent before you changed your choice.
• Our emails. Our email provider, Brevo, records when an email we send you is opened and which links in it are clicked. We use this to see whether emails are delivered and read. It is not used for advertising.

How We Use It

• To run the parts of the site you use: send the emails you asked for, publish your post or listing, process payment and pass applicant messages on.
• To keep listings accurate and the site safe from spam and abuse.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages and listings people find useful.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who Else Handles Your Data

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job described:

• Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.
• Brevo sends our emails and keeps the subscriber list. MailerLite is our backup email provider.
• DigitalOcean hosts the site and its database in the United States.
• Cloudflare delivers pages, protects the site from attacks and routes email sent to our domain.
• Google provides Google Analytics, only if you accept it.
• Google and Bing are notified when job pages change so they appear in search. Only the page address is sent, never personal data.

Cookies

We use one cookie to remember your choices and, only if you switch on Google Analytics, Google Analytics cookies. The full list is in our Cookie Policy. You can change your choices at any time from Cookie Choices at the bottom of every page.

How Long We Keep It

• Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Job Wanted posts: while live (60 days), and for a short time afterwards so you can renew.
• Listings: while live and afterwards as a record of what was published, unless removed on request.
• Payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
• Server logs: 14 days.

Your Rights and Choices

• Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it.
• Get a copy, or have it deleted: use Your Privacy Choices. We email you a link to confirm the request is yours, then complete it within 30 days.
• Correct something: email hello@wildwork.io from the address involved.
• Take down your own post or listing at any time from its private link.

Some records cannot be deleted while they are still needed: payment records we are required to keep, and an active Early Access subscription until you cancel it. We will tell you if that applies.

California, Colorado and other U.S. states

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out. You have the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

Visitors from the EU, UK and Switzerland

We rely on your consent for analytics cookies and marketing email; on contract to provide listings, posts and Early Access; on legal obligation for payment records; and on legitimate interests to keep the site secure and to summarize publicly posted jobs. You can withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Your data is stored in the United States.

Children

WildWork is for people looking for work and the businesses hiring them. It is not directed at children. Job Wanted posts require you to be 16 or older, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site runs over HTTPS, card details go straight to Stripe, and access to our systems is limited and protected. No system is perfectly secure, so we keep only what we need.

Changes and Contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change, and material changes will be announced on the site.
