What WildWork collects, why, who else handles it, and how to get it deleted. Last updated September 14, 2026.
The short version
- You can browse every job without an account and without giving us anything.
- We collect your email only when you sign up for an email, post something or pay for something.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store card numbers.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.
What we collect
- Email digest and Early Access: your email address, the date you signed up and confirmed, and, for Early Access, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs.
- Job Wanted posts: your first name, last initial, email (never displayed), what you write, and any photo you upload.
- Employer listings: the contact name and email, business details, the listing itself, any logo or photos, and payment records from Stripe (amount, date, receipt link).
- Messages: when an employer writes to a Job Wanted poster through our relay form, we pass the message on and keep a record that it was sent.
- Technical data: like any website, our servers and our network provider process your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and block abuse. We keep server logs for a short period for security.
Who else handles your data
We use a small number of service providers, each only for the job described:
- Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.
- An email service provider sends the digest and account emails and keeps the subscriber list.
- DigitalOcean hosts the site and its database in the United States.
- Cloudflare delivers pages and protects the site from attacks.
- Google Analytics measures how many people visit and which pages they read, using cookies and your IP address, which Google processes on our behalf. We use it only for traffic statistics, not advertising.
- Google and Bing are notified when job pages change so they appear in search. No personal data is sent to them.
Cookies
WildWork uses the cookies needed to run the site, such as keeping an administrator signed in, and Google Analytics cookies that count visits. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with Google’s opt-out add-on without affecting how the site works.
How long we keep it
- Subscriber records: until you unsubscribe, then a short suppression record so we never email you again by mistake.
- Job Wanted posts and listings: while live, and for a limited time afterwards so the owner can renew them.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
Your choices
Every email has an unsubscribe link and a link to your preferences. To see, correct or delete anything we hold about you, email hello@wildwork.io from the address involved and we will do it. You can also take down your own Job Wanted post or listing from its private link at any time.
Children
WildWork is for people old enough to work the jobs listed. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes and contact
