These terms cover using WildWork: browsing and applying for jobs, posting a Job Wanted, posting a job as an employer, and paying for Early Access. Last updated September 14, 2026.
What WildWork is
WildWork is a job board for outdoor and adventure work in the United States. We are not an employer, a staffing agency or a recruiter. Jobs are offered by the employers who post them, and applications go straight to those employers. We do not charge job seekers to apply and we never take a cut of your pay.
Listings from two sources
Some listings are posted and paid for by the employer. A person checks that business before its listing goes live (see How We Verify Listings). Other listings are gathered from public employer career pages and job boards; each links to the original posting, and the employer’s own page is the final word on the details. If anything in a listing is wrong, tell us and we will fix it or take it down.
Rules for employer listings
- The job must be real, currently open and located in the United States.
- State the pay: a range, a day rate, a monthly figure or a clear formula such as a crew share. Listings with no pay can be sent back.
- Describe housing and meals honestly, including any rent or deductions taken from pay.
- Never charge applicants a fee to apply, to be placed or to be trained.
- No multi-level marketing, commission-only schemes presented as wages, or listings that collect personal data for anything other than hiring.
- You must be allowed to hire for the job and to publish the details you post.
We can edit a listing for clarity and formatting, send it back for changes, or decline it. We may remove a live listing that breaks these rules; if we remove it for a reason that was not in the listing when you posted, we refund you.
Payment and refunds for employers
- Prices are shown on Post a Job and in our pricing file. You pay once per listing by card through Stripe’s secure checkout. We never see or store your card number.
- A listing runs for the number of days in the plan you choose, starting when it goes live.
- If we cannot verify your business, or we decline the listing before it goes live, you get a full refund.
- Once a listing is live, the fee is not refundable, but you can edit it, mark it filled or extend it at any time from the private link we email you.
Early Access subscriptions
- Early Access is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe until you cancel.
- You can cancel any time from the billing link in your Early Access emails; access continues until the end of the period you paid for.
- We do not give partial refunds for unused time, except where the law requires it.
- Early Access shows listings earlier. It does not guarantee an interview or a job.
Job Wanted posts
- Job Wanted posts are free and stay up for 60 days. We read each one before it goes live.
- Write only about yourself, and only what is true. No contact details in the text of the post.
- Your email address is never shown. Employers write to you through a relay form and their message arrives in your inbox with their reply address.
- We can decline or remove a post that breaks these rules. You can take yours down at any time from your private link.
Reporting a problem
If a listing looks like a scam, asks you for money, or is no longer open, email hello@wildwork.io with the link. We review reports and take listings down while we check. See Outdoor Job Scams for the warning signs.
What we are not responsible for
We work to keep listings accurate, but we cannot guarantee that an employer will hire you, pay what they advertise, or provide the housing they describe. Decisions to apply, accept a job or hire someone are between you and the other party. To the extent the law allows, WildWork is not liable for losses that come from a job, an employer, an applicant or a listing, and our total liability for anything related to the site is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you let us show it on WildWork, in our emails and in feeds that point back to WildWork, and to make small edits for length and clarity.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be announced on the site. Questions: hello@wildwork.io.
