Range Winter Sheepherder

Visintainer Sheep Company is filling one winter range herding position out of Craig in northwest Colorado, running October 2026 through the end of March 2027. The worker lives in employer-provided range housing, which the job order states will be clean and in good repair when provided, with the worker responsible for keeping it in reasonable condition. This is remote, largely unsupervised work with the band through the winter, and the job order makes clear the herder is accountable for the care of the livestock. Three months of prior experience is required. The offered wage is $2,686.85 per month, above the standard range herding rate, and the employer provides housing and board in accordance with federal rules.
