Winter Range Livestock Herder

Paint Rock Angus Ranch in the Big Horn Basin is filling four winter range livestock herder positions for October through December 2026. This is genuine range work: the job order describes exposure to snakes, biting insects and extreme temperatures, attending animals at all hours of the day as their safety and wellbeing require, and maintaining and managing remote housing locations responsibly along with keeping equipment and machinery to the employer’s standard. Because it is range herding, there is no fixed daily shift. Six months of prior experience is required. The job order states the offered wage is $2,132.41 per month for work performed in Wyoming, plus room and board. Applications route through the Wyoming state workforce system.
