The Appalachian Mountain Club is staffing its remote winter lodges in Maine’s 100-Mile Wilderness near Greenville, starting December 29, 2026 and running to mid-March 2027. Lodge crew set up and clean up meals, clean guest cabins and common spaces, help visitors, shovel snow, stack firewood, and follow the lodges’ low-impact practices. You must be 18 or older, enjoy close-quarters communal living, give great customer service, lift 50 pounds, and be able to get around safely in backcountry winter conditions; food service experience helps but is not required. Pay is $15.40 an hour, and a dorm-style room and meals are included. Apply with a resume and cover letter through AMC’s Paycom portal.
