Washington State Parks is filling one permanent, year-round, fully commissioned law enforcement Park Ranger 3 for the Central Lakes Area, based out of Alta Lake State Park in Okanogan County. The area also takes in Bridgeport, Lake Chelan and Twenty-Five Mile Creek state parks, high desert country with dramatic geology. The ranger leads day-to-day operations for the area, turning the area management plan into practice, and serves as team leader while coaching, mentoring and supervising park staff and coordinating longer-term plans and projects. The posting states dedicated housing is available for the position at a subsidized cost. The role is not eligible for telework because physical presence is required. Recruitment is continuous with rolling review and may close once a selection is made.
