Utah State Parks is taking applications for seasonal crew at Antelope Island State Park on the Great Salt Lake. One application covers two tracks and staff are placed by interest and park need. Park Ranger Aides staff the entrance station, visitor center and gift shop, sell passes and permits, handle cash, answer visitor questions, help present interpretive and education programs, clean campgrounds, restrooms and yurts, do light trail repair, and assist with emergency response and search and rescue. Groundskeepers mow, irrigate, plant and trim, maintain campgrounds, day-use areas and trails, run mowers, trimmers, snow blowers and hand tools, and help with herbicide and fertilizer application once trained. Applicants must be 18 with a valid license, work outdoors in hard weather, and lift 50 pounds.
