Flat Tops Wilderness Guides runs roughly 25 horse-supported camps in the Flat Tops Wilderness on the White River National Forest and is recruiting hunting guides, packers/wranglers, cooks and camp staff at every experience level. Camps sit two to six hours from the nearest road, so applicants need to be comfortable living remote for days at a time, be willing to ride, and pitch in on chores like feeding stock and setting tents regardless of title. Wilderness first aid or WFR, NOLS-type training and packing skills all help your case. You must be available from early August through late November, pass a background check and stay sober on the job. Pay and lodging are not published; send a resume and short intro by email with the subject line “Employment App”.
