Kennel and Barn Supervisor

Avalon Plantation, a 20,000-acre private hunting and conservation property near Lamont, Florida, about 35 minutes from Tallahassee, needs a full-time kennel and barn supervisor. The job runs the kennel, barn, feed and maintenance programs, covering care, training, nutrition and health for bird dogs, horses and mules, and supervises two staff members. The supervisor also leads quail hunts, builds the dog breeding program, takes part in field trials, and runs tractors, mowers and UTVs. Candidates need at least 5 years of quail management and dog or horse training, 3 years supervising high-end hunts, firearms experience with hunter safety certification, and a driver’s license.
