Loadout Cowboy (Horseback) – $2,000 hiring bonus

One of Nebraska’s largest feedyards is hiring horseback loadout crew to move and verify cattle inside the yard, ship outgoing loads, unload incoming trucks, gather loose cattle and run a skid steer and ATV as needed. Riders need intermediate-to-advanced horsemanship, cattle-handling experience and a valid license, and must furnish, shoe and keep up three of their own horses; the yard pays $550 a month toward horse expenses plus free hay and grain and a $1,500 horse reimbursement every other year. Starting wage is $21 to $25 an hour with a $2,000 hiring bonus, medical, dental and vision, paid time off, a bonus plan and 401(k) match from day one.
