AMC is hiring winter cooks for its three off-grid lodges in Maine’s 100-Mile Wilderness (Medawisla, Little Lyford and Gorman Chairback), outside Greenville. The season begins December 29, 2026 and ends March 12 or March 19, 2027 depending on the lodge. Cooks turn planned menus into meals and snacks, handle special diets, keep the kitchen up to Maine health code, and help with serving, cleanup, hosting and general lodge cleaning. You must be 18 or older, happy living with a small crew, and able to handle 10-hour shifts and 50-pound loads; food service, camp or outdoor work experience is preferred. Pay is $16.34 an hour with a dorm room and meals included; apply through AMC’s Paycom portal.
