Pen Rider – Frontier Feedyard

Cactus Feeders is hiring a full-time pen rider at its Frontier Feedyard in Spearman, in the northern Texas Panhandle. The rider works the pens on horseback every day to spot and pull cattle showing illness or injury, and also receives and weighs incoming cattle, places them in pens, helps process, sort and ship, and handles minor facility repairs. You must supply and keep a suitable horse and tack; prior cow-calf, stocker or feedyard experience is preferred and a diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Pay is hourly based on experience, and the company adds a monthly horse stipend along with health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance and a fully company-paid employee stock ownership retirement plan.
