Ranch and Livestock Worker

Diamond Cattle Company is hiring three cattle workers in the Nebraska Sandhills for October 2026 through July 2027. The posted duties are squarely cowboy work: riding horseback or a side-by-side to check cattle, herding and grazing stock, moving livestock between locations, and gathering, catching and loading animals. The role also covers feeding and watering, castrating and branding, examining animals for disease and injury, assisting with birth deliveries through calving, administering medications and vaccinations, providing mineral, keeping records, cleaning animal housing areas and repairing fence. A cattle background and three months of experience are required, and the job order specifies the worker must speak English. Normal schedule is 58 hours per week at $16.25 per hour.
