Ranch Hand

Killam Ranch Properties is hiring an experienced ranch hand for its Duval County ranch outside Freer in South Texas. The work is riding pastures to check for sick cattle, horses and other large animals, helping doctor animals as needed, repairing fence, shredding, trimming trees and handling other ranch maintenance directed by the ranch manager. Candidates must know how to work cattle and horses and be able to operate large equipment, mainly tractors; general knowledge of machinery maintenance and safety, and welding skills, are listed as helpful. A valid driver’s licence is required, weekend work is part of the job, and applicants are subject to background and drug testing. The successful candidate must be willing to live on the ranch.
