Ranch Hand – Large Historic Ranch

A large historic ranch west of Balmorhea on the north slope of the Davis Mountains is hiring a hand focused on conservation, range stewardship and infrastructure upgrades. Daily work varies across water systems and plumbing, welding, equipment operation, construction, brush control, preventive maintenance and livestock care, under a ranch manager who lives on site. They will train a motivated candidate with a good attitude, but you must be committed to remote ranch living. Good on-ranch housing comes with a salary based on experience, health/vision/dental, weekends and holidays off, paid leave and a 401(k). Email a cover letter, resume and three references.
