Far Flung Outdoor Center in Terlingua runs river trips on the Rio Grande through Big Bend, and its busy season is the cooler half of the year. The company is hiring river guides, plus Jeep and ATV guides and shuttle drivers, for a full season running mid-September to mid-May or a shorter fall/winter stint from mid-September into early January. Guides need a current 40-hour wilderness medicine certification with CPR, a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check. Limited guide housing is $50 per pay period and campsite or RV parking is $25 per pay period, both with a shared kitchen, bathrooms and WiFi; no pets. Pay is not listed.
