Second Cook – Remote Lodge (2027 Season)

Katmai Wilderness Lodge, a small remote lodge on the Katmai National Park coast staged out of Kodiak, is hiring a second cook for May 15 to September 25, 2027. You will work in a two-person kitchen under the executive chef, take over breakfast on your own once trained, and help with prep, dishes, sanitation and inventory while picking up professional cooking skills. A food handler card (or the ability to get one) and basic cooking ability are required; restaurant or catering experience and ease around high-end guests are a plus. The lodge’s CoolWorks profile lists $4,000 to $6,000 a month plus tips, a private cabin room with shared bath, and meals, and a travel stipend may be offered once you reach Kodiak.
