Fire Management Technician – Chattahoochee Fall Line (2027 Season)

Seasonal fire technician with TNC’s Chattahoochee Fall Line program in west-central Georgia, burning longleaf pine sandhills managed for red-cockaded woodpeckers and gopher tortoises, with side work like fence removal and timber marking. The crew also assists partners at Tuskegee National Forest, Piedmont National Wildlife Refuge and Georgia DNR wildlife areas. You must already be FFT2 qualified; experience on 30 or more burns, first aid and S-212 are preferred. The season runs January 4 to June 25, 2027 (up to six months), pay starts in the $18.50–$22.75 hourly range, and shared housing with utilities in Marion County is provided free once you sign the lease terms.
