Drifters Lodge sits on the Kenai River in Cooper Landing, about two hours south of Anchorage, and hires river fishing guides for its summer season. Guides keep guests safe on the water, teach technique, and help them land fish. The lodge says September through November is the best time for guides to apply for next season. Before your first season you must finish the Kenai River Guide Academy course. You must be 21 or older with a clean driving record. Staff work six days a week and get housing, vehicle access and time to fish.
