Yosemite National Park is hiring a permanent full-time Forestry Worker for hazard tree work across the park. The job is climbing and felling, using chainsaws and specialized rigging to take down trees of all sizes, designing and rigging material handling systems to move logs safely around buildings and roads, and running heavy equipment to maneuver wood out of tight spots. It also involves driving loaded trucks on steep mountain roads in bad weather, and the work moves through a wide span of elevations and forest types inside the park. A Class B commercial driver’s license or higher is required by the closing date. The grade is WG-10.
