The licensing rule to know: if you help guide hunting or fishing for pay, you need a Nevada Department of Wildlife subguide license, and your application must be signed by the master guide you will work under. You must be at least 18, and if you have never guided in Nevada you must pass a written guide test first. The license costs $125 for residents or $250 for nonresidents, plus a $50 application fee if you were not licensed the year before. Workers hired by a master guide only to cook, cut wood, or care for, groom or saddle livestock do not need one.
