American Seafoods is taking applications for factory processors aboard its at-sea pollock vessels working the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska and Aleutian Islands. Crew sort fish by species, run processing machines, hand-fillet, inspect product, pack and freeze it, load supplies, and clean the factory during 12- to 16-hour days for the length of a trip, which is typically 14 to 21 days, over a commitment of three months or more at sea. Pay is a crew share tied to the catch, with the company estimating $4,000 to $7,000 a month across roughly two trips; room and board aboard are free, new hires get help with transportation to Seattle, and the company covers gear. You must be 18 or older, pass drug testing, handle steep ladders and a moving deck, tolerate close shared quarters, and be able to lift up to 77 pounds. Posted August 18, 2026.
