This Park Service announcement fills seasonal fisheries technician jobs across the Pacific West in 2027, at Redwood, Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon, Channel Islands, Whiskeytown, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier, Olympic, North Cascades and Great Basin, among others. Crews survey fish populations and aquatic habitat, collect specimens and environmental data with standard sampling gear, and log results with GPS and data software. Higher grades run monitoring projects more independently and help with reports. Seasons run roughly March to October or May to November depending on the park, and selectees are expected to start March to May 2027 on an appointment of up to 1,039 hours. Grades span GS-4 to GS-7 with pay from $17.45 to $31.43 an hour before locality pay. Some parks have government housing available but it is not guaranteed. Apply on USAJOBS by 10/26/2026; the announcement closes early after 600 applications.
