Cook Inlet Aquaculture Association is hiring a full-time fish culturist for its remote Tutka Bay Lagoon salmon hatchery across Kachemak Bay from Homer. The job covers fish culture and broodstock work, spawning, water-quality sampling, facility and equipment upkeep, and sometimes supervising seasonal technicians. CIAA looks for applied fishery biology knowledge, boat handling, construction and mechanical skills, a valid Alaska driver’s license and current CPR and first aid, and it prefers six months of fish culture experience. Pay is $41,885 to $58,480 a year DOE, and furnished housing with heat, power and internet is provided on site.
