Glacier Fish Company is hiring a captain for the factory trawler Northern Glacier, which fishes the Bering Sea and the Washington and Oregon coast. The captain navigates and handles the vessel, directs fishing to the plan while managing bycatch and quota, coordinates the factory, engine and deck departments, and carries final responsibility for safety, drills, regulatory logs and USCG and DNV inspections. Expect 12-hour days, seven days a week in all weather, with trips averaging 13 to 20 days.
