Crab Deckhand (Bering Sea crab vessels)

Coastal Villages is hiring seasonal deckhands for its crab boats working the Bering Sea, Gulf of Alaska and Aleutian Islands. The job is sorting crab by species, size and sex, running processing machinery, loading and offloading product and supplies, and keeping the deck clean and safe around 850 to 1,150 lb pots. Expect 12 to 24 hour shifts in rough weather, heavy lifting, ladders and tight spaces, and long stretches away from home. Pay is a crew share rather than a set wage.
