Ancestral Lands Conservation Corps is hiring a crew leader for a fall term based in Zuni, New Mexico, running October 26 to December 11, 2026. Leaders supervise and mentor a young-adult crew on trail building and maintenance, habitat work, fuels reduction and preservation projects, mostly as a day crew with possible camping on an 8-days-on, 6-days-off rotation. The job includes managing the crew’s food budget and camp logistics, weekly paperwork, and teaching skills on the worksite. Pay is $925 to $1,125 per week plus health insurance, PTO and sick leave; Wilderness First Aid, chainsaw and trail training may be offered. No housing is provided.
