WCC is filling roughly 260 AmeriCorps positions statewide for the term running October 5, 2026 to September 15, 2027. Most members join a six-person field crew (five members and a supervisor) building and maintaining trails, planting trees, restoring salmon habitat and responding to disasters, usually on a Monday–Thursday ten-hour schedule. Eligibility is 18 to 25 on the first day of service, with no age cap for military veterans or people with sensory or mental disabilities; no experience is needed. Members receive $1,476 twice a month ($1,609 in King, Snohomish and Clark counties), health insurance and a $7,395 education award on completion, but must arrange their own housing and get themselves to the crew meet-up point. Interviews are rolling, so apply early via the online application linked from the Join WCC page.
