The forester lays out timber and forest product sales and fuels treatments, including boundary work, unit layout, road layout, marking and cruising, then writes the contracts and maps and supervises harvest operations for compliance with best management practices. It is a full-time at-will contract position of up to two years, renewable after that. Preference goes to candidates with a forestry degree and at least three years of forestry experience, and a valid driver’s license is required. Pay is $30 an hour.
