Master or Mate – Factory Trawler

United States Seafoods is recruiting a master or mate for one of its Dutch Harbor factory trawlers. The job is running the fishing side of the boat, including bag sizes, tow times and deliveries to the factory, along with daily safety inspections, department-head meetings, maintenance oversight and regulatory compliance. You need a USCG license for 1,600 tons or more, at least three years of bottom-trawl experience as master or mate, current First Aid and CPR, and cold-water survival training. The company fishes January through November, and crew rotate roughly 60 days on and 60 days off. Pay is not listed; apply through the company’s Paylocity posting.
