Park Ranger 2 – Silver Falls State Park

A permanent full-time ranger position in the Silver Falls Management Unit at Silver Falls State Park near Salem, part of the Willamette District in the Valleys Region. The ranger independently plans and carries out complex work, either personally or by directing others, across volunteer program coordination, park maintenance and operations, facility and resource conservation, and interpretation, all aimed at protecting, maintaining, repairing and improving park lands, natural and cultural resources, structures, equipment and systems. Minimum qualifications are four years of visitor services or maintenance experience such as rule enforcement, interpretive and education programming, special events, construction trades or landscaping, or a related associate degree with two and a half years of that experience, or a related bachelor’s degree with one year.
