Ranch Caretaker – Private Mountain Ranch Community

The Ranches at Five Pine Mesa, a private ranch community near the Flat Tops Wilderness outside Yampa in northwest Colorado, is hiring a year-round caretaker to look after the association’s barn, guesthouse, roads and grounds. Expect a mix of carpentry, painting, cleaning and preventive maintenance, servicing tractors, trucks, ATVs and snowmobiles, plowing snow and grading roads, checking on owners’ properties, running a Mattracks winter shuttle, and helping with grazing and tree removal, plus monthly expense reporting. The community wants two to five years of ranch or facilities maintenance experience, strong mechanical skills, a clean driving record and the self-direction to work alone in a remote setting; welding, heavy-equipment and chainsaw skills are a plus.
