The work is parachuting into remote, mountainous terrain to fight fire, maintaining saws, pumps and jump gear, and possibly acting as initial attack commander. You must already hold Firefighter Type 1 and have a year of on-the-line crew experience at the GW-4 level, or a related bachelor’s degree.
