Three five-month benefited temporary aide positions at the Clearwater Fish Hatchery in Ahsahka, running from the end of November 2026 to the end of April 2027 at up to forty hours a week, with a flexible start date on request. This is the lowest entry bar among Idaho Fish and Game’s current hatchery openings, asking for a high school diploma, age eighteen or older, a driver’s license and the ability to follow instructions. Work is hands-on fish culture: weighing feed and feeding fish, cleaning and caring for fish in rearing units, sampling fish, power washing raceways, data collection and entry, grounds and equipment maintenance, and cleaning hatchery offices. Expect cold water for long stretches, lifting up to a hundred pounds, extreme weather and possible overnight travel. Housing is available for the employee only.
