Two permanent firefighter jobs with the U.S. Wildland Fire Service on national wildlife refuges: St. Marks NWR near Crawfordville, Florida, and Carolina Sandhills NWR in McBee, South Carolina. The work centers on prescribed fire and fuels projects plus suppression, prevention and post-fire monitoring, with travel during fire season.
