Deckhand – Combi, F/V Starbound

Trident is hiring a combination deckhand/processor for the catcher-processor Starbound, which works Alaska groundfish out of Tacoma, Washington. The deck side of the job is setting and hauling nets and pots and loading and unloading cargo; when the deck is quiet you move into the factory to process fish. Trident asks for at least two years on a fishing vessel or in seafood processing, the ability to identify fish species, basic shipboard firefighting knowledge, and the appropriate Coast Guard credentials such as an AB or OS rating and STCW endorsement. Conditions are loud, wet and exposed to extreme weather around moving machinery. Trident states that all vessel crew live aboard with room and board provided.
