Groomer Operator (Winter Seasonal)

49 Degrees North, the ski area in the Selkirk foothills north of Spokane, is hiring snowcat groomer operators for its October-to-spring season. Operators groom slopes and freestyle terrain each day, clear paths, haul people and freight, fix thin spots and build special courses, and also run snowmobiles and ATVs. They keep logs and shift reports, fuel and clean the machines, do light repairs, watch the weather to plan grooming, and report snow totals and plowing needs to other departments. The schedule is five days a week on site, including nights, weekends and holidays. Applicants must be 18 or older with intermediate grooming skills, a valid Washington driver’s license, reliable transportation and a clean background check; two years of grooming or snowmaking experience is preferred, and ATV and snowmobile training can be provided.
