Trident runs a general applicant pool for hourly processor jobs across its Alaska shore plants; hires are placed at a plant based on need. The work is cleaning, trimming and filleting fish, grading product by size and quality, packing, and moving product with plant equipment, in a cold, wet environment for shifts that can reach 16 hours. No prior seafood experience is required, but Trident wants a reliable work history and the ability to read basic instructions; you must already be authorized to work in the US because no sponsorship is offered. Workers living in company housing pay a $15 daily co-pay for room and board on days when at least eight hours of work is offered, and Trident’s Alaska information page says roundtrip airfare is covered from its approved hub airports.
