Katmai Wilderness Lodge is looking for a licensed captain who can also guide wildlife-viewing trips along the Katmai coast for its May 15 to September 25, 2027 season. You will run the lodge boats, lead guests on water and shore excursions with solid natural-history narration, look after the vessels, and help with grounds and equipment around camp. Requirements are a current USCG 25-ton Near Coastal OUPV license, age 21 or older, at least two years on similar boats, CPR and first aid, and comfort with marine navigation gear; a wilderness first aid card, a Master license, and Alaska guiding time are preferred. The lodge’s CoolWorks profile lists $5,000 to $7,000 a month plus tips with a private cabin room and meals.
